Back when I was teaching the Reformation in 7th grade history, I had an "experiential" lesson where I offered to sell grades for cash -- the idea was to make a tie to the selling of indulgences by the Medieval Catholic Church.

So I'm thinking, why not sell grades? After all, it's all about the kids, isn't it? And now that I'm really thinking about it, I remember in "The Godfather," Don Corleone says that gambling is a thing of the past, and the family needed to get into drugs to keep up with the times. I mean, the lottery doesn't seem to be working the way it once did, so maybe he was right.... Remember, desperate times call for desperate measures.
