The first time I retired, my first thought was: I CAN GO TO THE BATHROOM WHEN I WANT TO. And yes, I have retired twice and am back in the harness again. There is nothing to equal the feeling of helping so many others. – Regardless of the cost to my body or pocketbook.

As a first year teacher, I LOVED this! There are too many days when I realize that I haven’t used the bathroom all day, and I am headed to a staff meeting.

I think one of the best way to humanize ourselves at least to our students is to talk about our lives outside of the classroom. As for the bathroom issue? Luckily, I have passing periods, so I can take a quick jaunt across campus if I absolutely need to!
