We must embrace our diversity if we are to emerge a country that is a leader in this global community. I would like to think that it starts in our schools. And if it starts in our schools, and is to take hold, then it must begin wtih our teachers. On occasion, I’m a commentator for Bam Radio, an internet radio show for Educators. This latest segment on “Teacher’s Aid” is called, “Managing the Hidden Differences In Your Classroom.” It was a lively show with great fellow guests. We discussed theory and strategies of embracing the different students in our classroom and the need to create an environment that is comfortable in its own diverse skin.
